Bulldogs Continue Road Trip With Visits To Syracuse And Hershey

After finishing week eight of the American Hockey League's 2012-2013 regular season with a 1-1-0-0 record, bringing their record to 7-9-1-1, the Hamilton Bulldogs will play two games in week nine. The Bulldogs will travel to Syracuse, New York on Friday, December 7th to face the Syracuse Crunch (AHL Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning) at 7:30 pm EST at the War Memorial at Oncenter. The following day, the 'Dogs will travel to Hershey, Pennsylvania to face the Hershey Bears (AHL Affiliate of the Washington Capitals) at 7:00 pm EST at the Giant Center. This will mark the first time the 'Dogs and the Bears have met since the 2008-2009 season, while also being the rematch of the 1997 and 2007 Calder Cup Finals.

The next Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Hour will take place on Monday, December 10th at Montana's Cookhouse on 1508 Upper James Street at 7:00 p.m. Stay tuned as guests of the show will be announced at a later date.

The Hamilton Bulldogs' 2012-2013 Toy Toss game, brought to you by AIM, will take place on Tuesday, December 11th at 7:30 p.m. against the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL Affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche). Be sure to bring a stuffed toy to the game to throw on the ice when the Bulldogs score their first goal. All toys will be donated to the United Way and their charitable partners.

The Hamilton Bulldogs lost the first of back-to-back games against the AHL-leading Abbotsford Heat by a score of 5-1 on Friday, November 30th. The Heat had yet to lose at home in regulation, and came into the game on a three-game winning streak. In the loss, Hamilton gave up a season-high nine power-play opportunities. Barry Brust of the Abbotsford Heat improved his record to 6-0 with a .973 save percentage and 0.66 goals against average. Gabriel Dumont scored a shorthanded goal for his third goal of the season.

Playing their second game in as many nights, the Bulldogs were able to rebound from their loss the night before and hand the league-leading Abbotsford Heat their first loss in regulation on home ice this season. Cedrick Desjardins stopped all 24 shots he faced, for his first shutout and third victory of the season. Playing in his second game after returning from an ankle injury, Louis Leblanc scored his third goal of the season. Patrick Holland scored his second goal of the season, both of which have turned out to be game-winners.
