Denver's Brad Smyth Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (December 3, 2012) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Denver Cutthroats forward Brad Smyth has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending December 2, 2012.

The Ottawa, Ontario native produced five points (three goals and two assists) this past week, helping the Cutthroats to two wins in their three games. Smyth has marked points in each of the Cutthroat's last six games (total of eight points), which currently has him riding the longest point streak in the CHL. The veteran has 11 goals and 12 assists (23 points) so far this season for the expansion Cutthroats.

Smyth has an impressive pro hockey resume, with this year marking his 20th pro season. Smyth played a total of 88 games in the NHL, hitting the ice for the Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings, Nashville Predators, New York Rangers, and Ottawa Senators.
