The Week That Was...
The South Carolina Stingrays hosted the Reading Royals and Gwinnett Gladiators at the North Charleston Coliseum this week for a week record of 2-0-0-0.
The Stingrays and Royals wrapped up their season series Friday night with the Stingrays picking up a 3-2 victory. Forward Hunter Bishop scored the game-winning goal and added an assist and defenseman Damon Kipp registered his first professional goal.
Goaltender Ryan Zapolski shutout his former team Saturday night stopping all 34 shots in a 2-0 win over Gwinnett. Forward Tyler Johnson buried a power-play goal and forward Andrew Sackrison grabbed the Stingrays' first shorthanded marker of the season.

Taking the Lead
The Stingrays are third in the South Division with 22 points and seventh overall in the Eastern Conference.
Defenseman Tommy Cross, currently with the Providence Burins of the American Hockey League, is tied for fifth among ECHL rookies and tied for fourth among league defensemen with 17 points (six goals, 11 assists). His 11 assists are tied for third among first-year players and his six goals are tied for second among league blueliners.
Goaltender Ryan Zapolski is first in the ECHL with a 1.58 goals-against average and first with a .943 save percentage.
