Orlando ended a four-game losing skid with a 2-1 shootout victory over the Wranglers last night. F C.J. Severyn tallied for Orlando 19 seconds into the second period to give the Solar Bears a 1-0 lead, but the Wranglers evened it up with a 4-on-4 goal from F Andrew Sarauer midway through the period. Orlando took the 2-1 victory in the eventual shootout, as LW Nick Petersen, F C.J. Severyn, and F Olivier Fortier all scored while G John Curry turned aside all three Wranglers chances.

Solar Bears Notes:

D Mike Liambas was activated from the 21-day IR and set a new single game record for Orlando with 17 penalty minutes (PIM)... F C.J. Severyn has scored the last three Solar Bears goals... G John Curry has now stopped 20 of 23 shootout attempts he has faced this season... The Solar Bears improved to 3-1 in shootouts with the win last night... RW Chris Lawrence was placed on the 21-day IR on Monday... D Brad Good was placed on reserve yesterday... G Mike Broduer remains on the 21-day IR... Both D Josh Caron and F Ryan Ginand are currently recalled to the Houston Aeros.

Las Vegas Notes:

The Wranglers have played back-to-back games past regulation, winning 6-5 in overtime over San Francisco on Thursday... F Adam Hughesman is fifth among ECHL rookies with 47 shots on goal... 20 of the Wranglers 42 goals have been scored in the third period... In 16 games this year, Las Vegas has never taken a lead into the first intermission... The Wranglers are fourth in the league on the penalty kill at 88.1 percent.
