San Francisco Bulls News Release

WEST VALLEY CITY, UT - The San Francisco Bulls saw their five game point streak come to an end in a 7-4 loss to the Utah Grizzlies, Friday night at the Maverik Center. Justin Bowers recorded a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to nine games, while Sacha Guimond chipped in with three power-play assists in defeat. Colin Vock recorded a hat trick for Utah.

The Grizzlies struck first at 3:41 on Bryan Cameron's seventh goal of the season. The Bulls would respond three times in the opening frame. Jordan Morrison scored on a high wrist shot by Grant Rollheiser at 7:01. Dylan King and Jordan Clendenning earned assists on Morrison's sixth goal of the season. The Bulls then tallied a pair of power play goals. Rob Kwiet recorded his first goal in a Bulls uniform at 7:58, and Bowers followed it up with 3:44 remaining in the first period for a 3-1 Bulls advantage. The Bulls out-shot the Grizzlies 11-7 after 20 minutes.

The second period was all Utah. Brad Mills scored on the power play with 3:36 gone by in the middle frame to make it 3-2. Mark Isherwood and Vock scored 2:12 apart at the end of the period for a 4-3 Utah lead through 40 minutes.

Just 22 seconds into the period, one of the stranger goals you will ever see occurred. With Taylor Nelson out of the net on a delayed penalty, Daniil Tarasov had his hard shot miss the net, rim out of the zone, and roll into the gaping net. Mills was credited for the 5-3 goal having been the last Utah player to touch the puck. On the ensuing power play, Marek Viedensky recorded his sixth goal of the season in his eighth game with the Bulls at 1:01 for a 5-4 game. The Bulls would be unable to score anymore. Vock completed his hat trick with a pair of goals 20 seconds apart.

The Bulls finish this week against the Utah Grizzlies tomorrow at 6:05 pm. The Bulls return home to face the Bakersfield Condors on Wednesday, December 5 for Get a Pair Wednesdays. Get 2-for-1 hot dogs at the Cow Palace. On Friday, December 7, the Bulls host the Colorado Eagles for a Teddy Bear Toss. Get your tickets by calling 855-SF-BULLS.
