Earthquakes Partner with Downtown San Jose's Christmas in the Park
The Earthquakes will once again partner with Downtown San Jose's Christmas in the Park at Plaza de Cesar Chavez. The club will feature an Earthquakes-themed tree in the park starting on Friday, Nov. 23. Fans who would like to help decorate the tree are encouraged to send homemade ornaments to the club's headquarters at 451 El Camino Real, Suite 220 in Santa Clara, CA 95050. (Note: Ornaments must be received by Wednesday, Oct. 21 to make it on the tree).
Earthquakes Partner with Santa Run Silicon Valley
As part of its support for Downtown San Jose, the Earthquakes have partnered with Santa Run Silicon Valley 2012. The 5K race/walk starts at Plaza de Cesar Chavez at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16. Registration is open at www.santarunsv.com .
Wells Fargo Goals for Education
The Earthquakes raised a total of $18,500 through the Wells Fargo Goals for Education program thanks to the club's 72 regular season strikes and two MLS Cup Playoff tallies. The club is now sifting through donation requests to determine which organizations will receive funds through the program. Thanks to 40 goals in 2011, the partnership raised $10,000 for local youth soccer and athletic development programs a year ago.

Academy Update
Academy Squads Set to Host Portland Timbers, Seattle Sounders FC
The Earthquakes U-16s and U-18s will host a pair of key Northwest Division games this weekend. The action starts on Saturday, Nov. 17 with the U-18s taking on Seattle Sounders FC at 10:30 a.m. and the U-16s to follow at 1 p.m. Next up are matches against the Portland Timbers at the same times on Sunday, Nov. 18. All games will be played at the Earthquakes Practice Facility. San Jose's U-18s are 5-0-0 with a +14 goal differential while the U-16s are 3-1-1 with a +5 margin.
