EDUCATION IN HOCKEY DAY

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After another hard-fought victory last night, the Cyclones are riding a season-high four game winning streak. And with the ECHL's best winning percentage under its belt, Cincinnati looks to make it a perfect weekend against the Greenville Road Warriors. Jarrod Skalde's team has earned points in a club-record nine consecutive games and now own a 5-3-0-2 record in the all-time series with the Road Warriors.

SCOUTING THE ROAD WARRIORS: Dean Stork's club had its four-game winning streak snapped last night and sit two points back of the South Division lead. Despite the loss, the Road Warriors are still averaging more than three goals per game and have the most goals-scored of any team in the Eastern Conference. Marc-Olivier Vallerand and Brandon Wong are each tied for fourth in the league in scoring with 16 points apiece. While Vallerand was held off the score sheet last night, Wong notched an assist to extend his "helper" streak to seven games - which is an ECHL high. Between the pipes, Greenville has used the services of two rookie goaltenders; Nathan Lieuwen has posted a 4-3-0 record with a 3.39 goals-against average while fellow first-year backstop Scott Stajcer has collected a 2-0-1 mark and a 2.61 GAA.

Finishing Strong: Cincinnati has continued to be a solid third period team. They have allowed an ECHL-low six goals in the final frame. Collectively, the Cyclones have outscored their opponents by a 28-22 margin.

Keeping Your Enemies Closer: This season, Cincinnati has played in the most one-goal games of any team in the ECHL. Eight of the nine Cyclones contests have been decided by a single tally. They are an impressive 6-0-2 in such situations.

Spreading the Love: This season, Cincinnati has had a very balanced attack. All but one Cyclones player have notched their name on the score sheet at least once this season. Even more impressively, eleven different players have earned multi-point games this season.

Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner: The Cyclones have won a total of seven games this season. Seven different Cyclones have scored the game winning goal.
