Eugene Emeralds News Release

EUGENE, OR - The Eugene Emeralds Baseball Club, single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, announced today that the team will be releasing a new logo and color scheme later this month. Fans and media are invited to the Logo Release Party at the Ninkasi Brewing tasting room at 272 Van Buren Street on Tuesday, November 27 starting at 5:30pm.

The Emeralds are planning a private release for media members who cannot attend the evening event at 2:30pm on November 27. Details of that event will be released when they are finalized.

To make room for the new merchandise, the Emeralds are hosting a surplus sale on Saturday, November 10 at the PK Park box office located at 2760 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. All merchandise will be discounted with hats and t-shirts starting at just $5. In addition to traditional team gear, the Emeralds are emptying out the storage unit to sell various items with the old logo.

"We are hoping to make a big impression with the new logos and colors," said General Manager Allan Benavides. "We've been working on this for almost a year and are very excited to see the fan reaction."

The first 100 fans aged 21 and over attending the November 27th event will receive a free pint glass featuring the new Emeralds logo and Ninkasi logo. Fans under 21 years of age will receive a free t-shirt with the new logo. Merchandise with the new colors and logo will be available for sale at the event and then online starting November 28. All in attendance will be entertained by the music of local artist Lonesome Randall.
