BAKERSFIED, Calif. - - Defenseman Teigan Zahn and center Justin Maylan each collected a goal and an assist, while goaltender Tyler Bunz made 21 saves to lift the Stockton Thunder (3-1-1, 7 points) to a 4-3 victory over the Bakersfield Condors before 4,759 fans at Rabobank Arena on Saturday night.

The two teams began the game trading goals in a span of 2:02, beginning with Parker Stanfield's wrist shot from the right circle to lift the Condors to a 1-0 edge at 3:12 of the first period.

Justin Maylan answered at 5:14 when he set a screen at the net and caught a piece of Teigan Zahn's wrister from the blueline for a 1-1 tie.

The Condors swiftly regained the lead just 16 seconds into the second period on Justin Pender's goal, but the Thunder ushered another response when Zahn converted a third chance rebound at the net for a 2-2 tie just 2:35 into the period.

Eric Hunter then crashed the net for another rebound goal - his first of the season - to put the Thunder ahead, 3-2 with 5:12 elapsed in the second period.

Matt Reber then took a Matt Bergland outlet pass and raced away for a breakaway shorthanded goal with 15:53 left in regulation, boosting the Thunder lead to 4-2.

Eric Burgdoerfer cut the deficit to 4-3 with a power play goal coming at 10:05 of the period on a one timer from the left point that fluttered by Bunz, but the Thunder hung onto victory by outshooting the Condors 32-24.
