Kyle Chipchura Signs with the SundogsOctober 15, 2012 - Central Hockey League (CHL) Arizona Sundogs
Chipchura 26, was a first round, 18th overall, 2004 NHL Entry Draft Pick by the Montreal Canadiens and was later signed to a three-year contract with them. In 2005-06 he was assigned to the Canadiens', AHL affiliate the Hamilton Bulldogs to finish his season. Chipchura remained with the Bulldogs in 2006-07 where he put up 39-points (12-goals and 27-assists) and continued by adding 13-points during the playoffs which helped catapult the Bulldogs to become the Culder Cup Champions that year. In 2007 he began his NHL career where he played in Montreal on and off over the next two seasons splitting his time with the Bulldogs. During his tenure with the Canadiens he put up 14-points (4-goals and 10-assists) and while with the Bulldogs he posted 56-points (24-goals and 32-assists).
In 2009, Chipchura was traded to the Anaheim Ducks where he played for two seasons and tallied 14 points during his stint. In 2011 he was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes where he had 16-points over the course of 53 games. He also saw 8 games with the Coyotes', AHL affiliate the Portland Pirates and had 6-points.
