Colorado Eagles News Release

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles of the ECHL announced today the addition of defensemen Donnie Harris & Eric Tallent to their roster. Both blueliners played last season in the Southern Professional Hockey League, but also have ECHL experience on their resumes.

Harris, 6-foot-3-inch, 205 pounds, began his rookie season last year with the ECHL's Elmira Jackals before finishing the campaign with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. In 47 games with the latter, he recorded 20 points (6-14-20) and 30 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons of junior hockey in the United States, highlighted by a Clark Cup championship with the Omaha Lancers in 2008.

Tallent will be entering his third pro season, and spent the majority of the past two with the Louisiana IceGators, registering 17 points (3-14-17) and 136 penalty minutes in 57 games. He played one game at the end of last season for the ECHL's Western Conference champion Las Vegas Wranglers. Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot, 185-pound d-man spent four seasons at Norwich University, helping his team claim the D-III championship in 2010.

The team's 2012 training camp starts this Friday and the 2012-13 season starts in October (a complete schedule can be found at www.ColoradoEagles.com). Tickets for all Eagles home games are on sale now and can be purchased at www.ComcastTix.com, the Budweiser Events Center box office, or by calling 1-877-544-TIXX (8499) or 970-686-SHOT (7468).
