New York Liberty Clinches 2012 WNBA Playoff Spot

New York, NY - September 21, 2012 - The New York Liberty last night secured the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference and will face the first seeded Connecticut Sun in the 2012 WNBA Eastern Conference Semifinals beginning on Thursday, Sept. 27 in Connecticut. This will mark the Liberty's 12th post-season campaign. The Liberty will close out the 2012 regular season tomorrow when they host the Tulsa Shock at Prudential Center at 2 p.m. for Fan Appreciation Day.

The Liberty hold a 1-4 record against the Sun during the 2012 regular season. The last playoff matchup between these two teams was the 2008 Eastern Conference Semifinals when New York won the series 2-1.
