Sacramento River Cats News Release
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif., -- Sacramento River Cats 2012 playoff tickets are on sale now, with four-game playoff packs available starting at just $24.
Individual tickets start at $8 for advance purchases, and are available online at ticketmaster.com, over the phone at 916-371-HITS (4487) or in person at Raley Field's Round Table Pizza Ticket Office. Four-game packs are available at the ticket office, over the phone, or through a special link on the homepage of rivercats.com.
The River Cats-who currently hold a five-and-a-half game lead over second-place Las Vegas-are seeking their PCL-record sixth-straight division championship and 11th in 13 seasons. If they hold on to win the Pacific Coast League South Division title, the Cats would open the first round of the playoffs at Raley Field on Wednesday, Sept. 5. Game two would be Thursday, Sept. 6, with games three, four and five to be played on the road at the home of the PCL North Division champions. Currently, the Reno Aces hold a six-game lead in that division.
The two potential home dates for the River Cats in the second round of the playoffs are Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 11-12. The Triple-A National Championship Game-a one-game event featuring the champions from the Pacific Coast League and the International League-will be played on Tuesday, Sept. 18 in Durham, N.C.
Fans can purchase four-game "strips" of tickets to all four potential home playoff games or individual game tickets to select games. Four-game strips range from $24 to $60, with single-game tickets starting at $8.
Should the River Cats not make the playoffs or not advance to the second round, full refunds will be available for any unused tickets.
