Team West U17 Camp Begins in Wilcox

August 10, 2012 - Western Hockey League (WHL) Regina Pats

Regina, Saskatchewan - Thursday marked the beginning of the 2012 Team West Under-17 Regional Summer Camp at the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, SK.

The Regina Pats are well represented with three prospects attending the camp. Forwards Adam Brooks and Dane Schioler along with defenceman Chase Harrison are all on the ice at the Duncan McNeill Arena this weekend.

The U17 coaching staff also features a Pats connection with assistant coach Malcolm Cameron behind the bench.

"It's a lot of fun," comments Cameron, "they (the players) are so bright-eyed and they're like sponges. They want to learn, they have a lot of energy and ask a lot of questions. They're pretty nervous here on the first day, but it's a lot of fun and I'm pretty excited to be here."

After the camp's conclusion, Cameron and the three Pats prospects will have a short break before Pats Training Camp begins Thursday, August 30th.
