----- Tonight, the SeaWolves take on the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) in the middle game of a three-game weekend series at Hadlock Field. Friday night, the Sea Dogs took down the 'Wolves in the series opener 5-1, snapping Erie's two-game win streak. The SeaWolves are in the middle of a string of 12 straight games against the Eastern Division. Following this stretch, Erie will play only one more four-game series against an East Division foe the remainder of the season...Righty Jared Gayhart takes the mound for Erie making his 30th appearance and fourth straight appearance as a starting pitcher. Gayhart took a no-decision in his last start against Richmond on July 29. In the game, he allowed six runs on six hits with no walks while equaling a career-high with eight strikeouts...RHP Stolmy Pimentel takes the mound for the Sea Dogs making his 17th start and first against Erie. Pimentel took a loss in his last start against Binghamton on 7/29. In the game, he lasted just 1/3 of an inning allowing four runs on one hit with four walks and no strikeouts. It was his first loss in over a month...The Sea Dogs pitching staff has allowed just one run over the last 23 innings pitched...The SeaWolves will return to Erie following tomorrow's game and have Monday off. The 'Wolves will host New Hampshire and Portland next week at Jerry Uht Park.
