Wednesday, August 15 - First Responders Night, Kids Run the Bases!
On Wednesday, August 15 the Bandits will honor all those who serve or have served our country, including police, firefighters and military, with First Responders Night.
The day will start off with an Ignite the Spirit softball game featuring the Chicago Fire Department against the Rosemont Police Department at 1:30 p.m. A pre-game parade will take place on the field before the Bandits face off against the Diamonds for all First Responders in attendance.

Members of the Negro Baseball League will also be making an appearance at the game. Following WWI, black baseball was becoming a popular entertainment attraction for urban populations throughout the United States. In 1920, Andrew "Rube Foster," owner of the Chicago American Giants and an influential member of the black baseball community organized the Negro National League out of Kansas City. The league fielded eight teams in towns like Chicago, Detroit and St. Louis. The league eventually folded due to pressure from the Great Depression but their legacy lives on today.
In addition, following the game kids in attendance will have a chance to dash around the base paths of the Ballpark at Rosemont. Kids of all ages are encouraged to join in the fun.
Thursday, August 16 - ALS Awareness Night, Bandits Give Back
The Les Turner ALS Foundation is Chicagoland's leader in patient services, research and education for ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's disease. As the Official Charitable Partner of the Chicago Bandits for the 2012 season, the organizations have teamed up for ALS Awareness Night. The Bandits will be sporting customized jerseys featuring the official Les Turner ALS Foundation logo and colors.
A silent auction will take place throughout the evening for the players' game worn jerseys with all proceeds being donated to the Les Turner ALS Foundation. In addition, volunteers will be on hand to distribute educational information about ALS.

The Bandits will also be hosting their first ever Bandits Give Back Night. Bandits' players will be donating tickets for various charities to enjoy a special group outing at the Ballpark. The following charities that will be in attendance: T.A.N. (Take Action Now), Special Children's Charities and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Children in attendance will also have the chance to run the bases again following the conclusion of the game.
Friday, August 17 - Amber Patton Bobblehead Night
Sponsored by Heatmasters Residential, the Bandits will be giving away Amber Patton bobbleheads to the first 300 fans who enter the gates for Friday night's game against the Carolina Diamonds.
The festivities will continue as the Bandits will present Caitlin Lever and Rachel Folden with their 2011 NPF Championship rings. Members of the Bandits 2011 Championship squad, Lever and Folden both signed with the Carolina Diamonds during the off-season.
Friday night will also feature another chance for kids to run the bases following the end of the game.
Saturday, August 18 - Fight Against Cancer Night/Fan Appreciation Night/Wiffle Ball Tournament (during day)
Saturday, August 18 is jam packed with activities. The day starts off with the 2nd Chicago Bandits Wiffle Ball Classic in the Ballpark at Rosemont. Two age divisions make up the tournament with a youth division (13 & under) and an adult division (14 & up). Teams of three to five are invited to play for just $100 a team. As the final home game for the 2012 season, the Bandits will celebrate Fan Appreciation Night during Saturday's game. Various contests and prizes will take place throughout the night as the Bandits say thank you to all the fans who have come out to support them throughout the season. In addition, this will also be the final poster giveaway for the 2012 season. The poster will feature the 2012 Chicago Bandits team photo.
Saturday will also be Fight Against Cancer Night. Fans in attendance will receive commemorative pink mini bats, courtesy of Louisville Slugger. The bases will also be getting a makeover as they will be spray painted pink for the cancer awareness night.
Following, the game, kids in attendance will get to run the bases. This will be the final Run the Bases night of the 2012 season, so don't miss your chance to run the same base paths as Amber Patton, Vicky Galindo and the rest of your Chicago Bandits.
