Tonight's Game-- The RedHawks look to shake off yesterday's loss and end the road trip on a high note when they finish their season series against Memphis at 7:05 p.m.

Last Night-- The Redbirds had a memorable, record-setting night as they won 24-7 over the RedHawks. Memphis set team records with 24 runs and 24 hits. They also tied a Pacific Coast League record, becoming just the third team in league history to hit two grand slams in one inning. Pete Kozma and Steven Hill each left the yard with the bases loaded in fourth. Memphis scored in the first on a two-run homer by Mark Hamilton. Leading 2-1, the Redbirds scored five unearned runs in the second to take command. They blew the game open with the eight-run fourth, jumping out to a 16-2 lead. The Redbirds also scored one in the fifth and poured on seven more in the seventh. Brad Snyder and Travis Buck each homered for the RedHawks. Jordan Kreke led the team with three hits, including an RBI triple. He also pitched a scoreless and hitless eighth inning.

Today's Probable Pitchers-- Brian Bass looks to bring some stability to the mound following yesterday...Bass is coming off a decent start Wednesday at Omaha in which he allowed one earned run (three total) and four hits over five innings...It the first time in four starts he lasted at least five innings...Three rough starts against New Orleans has inflated his numbers a bit...In his other seven starts with the RedHawks, Bass has posted a 3.15 ERA...Bass has held his own on the road with a 4.05 ERA in four starts away from OKC, allowing two earned runs or less three times...He had an usual start against Memphis on June 30...After retiring nine straight and allowing no hits through four innings, Bass allowed six runs (one earned) and could not make it out of the fifth as the Redbirds went on to win 20-6...Memphis lefty John Gast is in a real groove...He has won each of his last four starts and over his last three games, he's allowed just two runs in 18 innings...During that time, he has struck out 17 and walked just two...Gast has won eight of his last 10 starts and has won each of his first three home starts...He began the season at Double-A Springfield, but advanced his way out of the Texas League after going 4-2 with a 1.93 ERA over eight starts.

Wrong Turn on Road Trip-- The RedHawks began their current road trip with a four-game sweep in Omaha, scoring 42 runs. They have since lost all three games in Memphis, allowing 38 runs.

Avoiding the Brooms-- Today marks just the third time this season the RedHawks have entered the final game of a series with the potential of getting swept and the first time since early May. The only team to sweep the RedHawks was the Omaha Storm Chasers, May 4-7 at Werner Park. Memphis is seeking its first four-game sweep of the season.

24/20-- Last night was the second time this season the RedHawks allowed 24 hits in one game. Albuquerque also notched 24 hits in a 15-5 win over the RedHawks on May 3, tying the Isotopes' team record. Memphis has put up 20 or more runs in a game twice the season against the RedHawks. They have scored 37 runs in their other 13 games against the RedHawks combined.

Paredes Named Player of the Week-- Earlier today, Jimmy Paredes was named PCL Player of the Week. From July 16-22, Paredes hit .500 and was one of three players to lead the league with 17 hits. He also hit three homers and drove in nine runs. In the eight games since he returned from paternity leave, he has gone 19-for-37 (.514). He becomes the third RedHawk to earn Player/Pitcher of the Week honors (Mike Hessman, Dallas Keuchel).

The Barnyard-- During his current 10-game hitting streak, Brandon Barnes is hitting .467 (21-for-45) with seven multi-hit games. He's notched eight extra-base hits, including two homers, and nine RBIs. It's his second 10-game hitting streak since joining the RedHawks in late May. He also hit safely in 11 of his final 12 games with Double-A Corpus Christi.

Fabulous Fernando-- Fernando Martinez has hit safely in his last 10 games as well as in his last 12 straight starts. During the 10-game streak he is hitting .357 (15-for-42) with two homers and seven RBIs.

Pinch Power-- Brad Snyder hit the team's second pinch-hit home run of the season yesterday. The other also occurred at AutoZone Park by Scott Moore on April 14.

Drought Beyond the Midwest-- Mike Hessman has not homered since July 5 in New Orleans. The 14-game streak without a homer is his longest of the season. He still comfortably leads the PCL with 27 dingers this season.

Leaving the Yard-- After allowing just one home run through the first three games of the trip, the RedHawks have allowed 11 over their last four games. The 114 they've allowed for the season is now the most in the PCL.

Against the Redbirds-- Tonight is the final meeting between these two teams in 2012...So far the RedHawks have won eight of 15 meetings, but the Redbirds have won the last five at AutoZone Park...Their last meeting in OKC featured a memorable walk-off home run by Fernando Martinez in the 10th on July 3 to give the RedHawks an 11-10 win...Martinez has hit four homers and collected 16 RBIs...Mark Hamilton is turning into a RedHawk slayer, going 11-for-21 with four homers and 14 RBIs...Memphis also has a chance to tie the all-time series (121-120 OKC).
