TinCaps Make Roster Moves
July 18, 2012 - Midwest League (MWL) Fort Wayne TinCaps
The Fort Wayne TinCaps, in conjunction with the San Diego Padres, announced the following roster moves today:RHP Luis De La Cruz placed on the disabled list. De La Cruz, 23, is 3-4 with a 5.06 ERA in a team-leading 35 relief appearances this season with Fort Wayne.
RHP Chris Fetter transferred from Short-Season A Eugene to Fort Wayne. Fetter, 26, was selected in the ninth round of the 2009 draft by the San Diego Padres. Entering this season, he had a career record of 6-8 with a 3.85 ERA in 36 games, 25 of which were starts. He pitched in Fort Wayne in 2009, going 2-1 with a 2.22 ERA in five regular-season games. The former Michigan Wolverine earned a win for the 2009 championship club in game two of the Midwest League finals. This season with Eugene, Fetter was 0-0 with a 2.08 ERA in six starts, pitching no more than three innings in any outing.
The TinCaps roster currently stands at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.
