Everblades Agree to Terms with Forward Brandon MacLean

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced Tuesday that the team has agreed to terms with forward Brandon MacLean for the 2012-13 season.MacLean, 24, posted 13 points (4g, 9a) in 18 playoff games last season for the 'Blades, while scoring the game winning overtime goal in Game Five of the Kelly Cup Finals to lift Florida to its first ECHL championship. The 5-11, 170-pound forward also tallied seven points (3g, 4a) in 13 regular season games after joining the team this past March.
"Brandon added a lot to our team, and was a big reason for our success in the playoffs last season," said Poss. "He is an all around player who can play in every game situation."
Prior to the joining Florida, MacLean accumulated 143 points (47g, 96a) in 108 games played during his four-year collegiate career at Carleton University. The Burlington, Ontario native played four seasons for the OHL's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (2004-2008), totaling 111 points (47g, 64a).
The Everblades will open up their 15th anniversary season at home on October 13 against the Orlando Solar Bears.
