Denver Outlaws to Hold Heroes Night for Home Finale

July 10, 2012 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Denver Outlaws

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws will hold "Heroes Night" in conjunction with the team's home finale on Saturday, July 14 against the Charlotte Hounds. The game faces off at 5 p.m. MDT and will be televised live on ESPN2.

Outlaws players will wear black, grey and orange "camouflage" jerseys to honor veterans. After the game, players will sign their jerseys, which will then be auctioned on eBay. All proceeds will benefit Veteran's Passport to Hope, a special Denver-based fundraising event to raise awareness for the challenges today's veterans face and to support the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP).

"We are proud to share this game and 'Heroes Night' with Veteran's Passport to Hope," Outlaws Director of Sales and Marketing Ted Tseng said. "Two of our players are veterans, so it means a lot to our organization to partner with an organization dedicated to recognizing the men and women who risk their lives to keep us safe and free."

The team will collect donations on behalf of the Red Cross to benefit victims of the Colorado wildfires throughout Saturday's game. On July 4, the team raised nearly $2,000 for this cause

Any military, firefighters, police or first responders are able to purchase a half-price General Admission Ticket ($5) with photo identification. Tickets are available over the phone by calling 303-OUTLAWS or can be purchased at the Outlaws box office on game day.
