Inland Empire (37-52, 6-13) dropped its final game of the home stand Monday to the Visalia Rawhide (44-45, 13-6) 13-2 as the 66ers pitching struggled to get outs throughout the night. 66ers shortstop Rolando Gomez was a bright spot for Inland Empire's offense as he went 2-for-3 with an RBI double.

The 66ers offense were able to strike first in the game as third baseman Kaleb Cowart's double would be cashed in by first baseman C.J. Cron to give Inland Empire an early 1-0 lead. Cron is now in a tie for the California League lead in RBIs with 72. 66ers left fielder Brandon Brewer also had a positive day at the plate as he went 2-for-4. After the initial burst of offense, the 66ers were not able to muster nearly any more runs as theywent 2-for-8 with runners in scoring position.

66ers starter Max Russell was not able to get out of the 5th inning as he was shelled for eight earned runs in 4.1 innings and was charged with the loss. Russell now falls to 4-9. 66ers reliever Kyle Hurst and Daniel Tillman pitched a combined three scoreless innings while striking out four to settle down Inland Empire pitching. Rawhide starter Anthony Meo got the win to improve to 5-4.

The 66ers have an off day before they go on the road to face the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes for a three game set at the Epicenter starting Wednesday at 7:05 pm.
