Rawhide Conclude Most Successful Jersey Auction

VISALIA, CA -- The Visalia Rawhide Baseball Club held an online Jersey auction from July 1st -- 4th, spanning the duration of the team's three game homestand against the Inland Empire 66ers (LAA).
Rawhide players wore special "patriotic jerseys" during the homestand, taking the field every day donning our nation's colors. Each jersey worn by players and coaches were made available for fans to bid on in an online forum. Computers were made available to fans on the right field
concourse during the game as well, where they could make bids on the specific jersey they wanted.
On Wednesday, July 3rd, the ballclub drew 2,876 fans, a Rawhide Ballpark record, for the series finale. The capacity crowd attracted many bidders throughout the game.
The auction concluded at midnight on July 4th, and the results exceeded expectations. In
"This is the most successful jersey auction our organization has ever held," Pendergraft said after the auction. "Military members are such a big part of this community, and this is the least we can do for all they have done for us. We we're glad to team up with the COS Veterans Society to help local military members receive an education here at home."
The Rawhide will return home from their road trip on July 11th to take on the Lancaster Jethawks (HOU) at 7 pm.
