Nailers Set to Rock the Valley this Winter

July 5, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL) Wheeling Nailers

WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens, are excited to announce their new radio home for the 2012-13 season. The Nailers will be staying with Clear Channel Communications Wheeling, moving up the hall, and up the dial to Eagle 107.5 FM, the Rock Station, WEGW.

Once again this year, all 72 regular season games, plus the preseason and postseason games will be carried live on the radio. DJ Abisalih returns for his second season as Wheeling's radio broadcaster, and along with the play-by-play side, will also be responsible hosting the pregame show that will begin 15 minutes before face-off, and the postgame show, as fans celebrate the Nailers' victories on their ride home from WesBanco Arena.

"I am ecstatic to make the move to the Eagle," Abisalih said. "The employees at Clear Channel Communications have been a pleasure to work with, and in the one year that I have worked with them, they have shown that the Nailers are a top priority to both they and the fans of the Ohio Valley. I can't wait to join forces with their staff to produce some new and exciting content for this year's broadcasts."

"We're so excited to be the new broadcast home for the Nailers. Hockey and Rock & Roll are a perfect combination and will make for some great radio this fall," said Nick Nash, program director of WEGW. "It's great to welcome the Nailers staff, players and coaches as the newest members of the Eagle Crew!"

The Nailers will begin the regular season on October 13th in Cincinnati, in the first of four straight road games, before playing their home opener on October 26th against the Reading Royals, with all games airing live on Eagle 107.5.

Nailers 2012-13 Ticket Packages are on sale now. Packages start at just $7.50 per game. Call 304-234-GOAL or wheelingnailers.com for more information.
