Blue Bombers Bring Back Boatman

July 4, 2012 - Canadian Football League (CFL) Winnipeg Blue Bombers

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have brought back import offensive lineman Shannon Boatman and added him to their practice roster. Boatman attended training camp with the team and played in one preseason game before being released during final cuts.

Boatman (6-6, 342, Florida State, DOB: November 24, 1984 in Beaumont, Texas) started five games for the Toronto Argonauts in 2010 at both left and right tackle after spending the 2009 season on their practice roster. He attended training camp with the Argos in 2011 before being among their final cuts. At FSU, Boatman was a starter in every game that the team rushed for over 100 yards or gained 400 or more yards in total offence. He played two seasons at Tyler Junior College before transferring to Florida State where he started all but two games over the next two seasons.
