Quebec Kebs Set To RelocateJune 30, 2012 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) Kebs de Laval
In six seasons in the old capital, the Quebec team has always been faced with the same problem, or that have a fixed and although home to them. They had to find an alternative to maintain the KEBS in the province of Quebec.
The choice of the owners stopped on the city of Laval, since this Coliseum can accommodate slightly more than 4000 fans. The city will also construct a new amphitheatre 2 or 3 years, making tilt, in the deliberation of the owners and the League Governors. In addition, there is a well-established tradition of basketball, which makes it an ideal place so the KEBS continue to evolve in the professional environment of NBL Canada.
"It is with great pride that we welcome the decision of the League, because they allow us to keep the team in Quebec." "We hoped with all heart the KEBS remain in the province and it is mission accomplished at this point," says Vincent Bernier, general manager of the team.
The KEBS participated the year last in the NBL Canada playoffs, finishing in 3rd in standings of the regular season. Being one of the best teams in the League, it was important that the Organization remains in place in NBL Canada.
The decision taken, the entire team is now ready to tackle the season next forward. The KEBS day camps are still held in Quebec City this summer, and as early as Monday next Yannick Anzuluni will return, to take part.
The KEBS would like to thank all the fans and partners who have supported and encouraged their team for six seasons. To you all, a huge thanks and GO KEBS GO!
