Former Border Cat Drafted by Nats

Former Border Cats player Casey Selsor was selected by the Washington Nationals during the final day of the Major League Baseball Draft on Wednesday. The 6'1", 190 pound outfielder from the University of Texas-San Antonio went to the Nationals in the 23rd round (714th overall). Selsor, a native of San Antonio, played in 42 games last season for Thunder Bay and hit .288 with 10 doubles, one home run and 24 runs batted in. The lefthander also pitched in nine games for the Cats and went 0-1 with a 3.62 earned run average.
