NASHVILLE, Tennessee - Corey Patterson drilled a lead-off home run to lead the Nashville Sounds to a 1-0 shut-out victory at Greer Stadium. Nashville starter Mark Rogers was fantastic working seven innings allowed one run on five hits and earned the win. Z's starter Tom Koehler pitched six innings and allowed just one run on one hit and suffered the defeat. The homer was the only hit he allowed. The Zephyrs threatened on several occasions grounding into two double-plays. New Orleans got a lead-off double in the eighth but a base running mistake assisted the Sounds bullpen. The Zephyrs were shut-out for the third time in their last seven games.
Game Notes - The Zephyrs have been shut-out a league high eight times. Corey Patterson drilled a lead-off home run in the first for the Sounds, third time this season the Zephyrs have allowed a lead-off bomb.
Coming Up: The Zephyrs continue the road-trip on Thursday in Oklahoma City. Wednesday is a league wide off day. The Z's will play the first place RedHawks in game one of a four game set on Thursday evening.
