PAPILLION, Neb. - The Omaha Storm Chasers blanked the Memphis Redbirds, 3-0, to take game one of their four-game series on Saturday night at Werner Park. First baseman Clint Robinson went one-for-four with a double and two runs batted in to help aid Jake Odorizzi snag his second career Triple-A victory.Veteran Doug Davis and Ramon Colon combined to pitch four scoreless innings out of the bullpen to shut Memphis (19-37) down and propel the Storm Chasers (34-23) to their 34th win of the year and their third win in a row.
Tony Abreu doubled to lead-off the second and advanced to third on a single by David Lough. Anthony Seratelli then grounded out to score Abreu and give the Chasers a 1-0 advantage.
The Redbirds threatened to score in the third by loading the bases with two outs but Odorizzi got the Redbirds' Bryan Anderson to pop out to Seratelli at third base to end the inning.
