Kane County Cougars Announce Partnership with Fighting Illini

GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars and University of Illinois have announced a cross-promotional relationship where Fighting Illini fans will receive special offers for select Cougars games during the 2012 season. The Saturday, June 30th Cougars game has been designated as "Illini Night" at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark as fans are encouraged to wear orange. A portion of ticket sales for that evening's game will benefit Illinois athletics, as well as the University of Illinois Marching Illini, who will be on hand to perform.

Illini fans can receive a 25% savings on reserved seat and lawn tickets for the June 30th game by entering "ILLINI" as the promotional code when ordering tickets online at kccougars.com. Illini fans who order tickets for the June 30th game are automatically entered to win opportunities to throw a ceremonial first pitch, present the lineup card at home plate, and announce "Play Ball" on the field before the game's first pitch on June 30th. That evening's game also includes a pre-game autograph session for all fans, as well as a post-game fireworks show. All fans are invited to run the bases following the fireworks show.

Also that evening, fans will have an opportunity to bid on commemorative orange and blue Illini jerseys that the Cougars team will wear during the game. Proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit Illinois athletics and the Marching Illini as well.

Similar ticket offers are also in place for Illini fans at the following Cougars games this season: July 15, July 26, August 16, and September 2.

"We're excited to announce this cross-promotional partnership with the University of Illinois," Mike Woleben, Cougars managing partner said. "Relationships such as this one help bring both fan bases together and will allow for some great opportunities for supporters of the Cougars and the University of Illinois."

Additional details of special offers for Illini fans, events for the June 30th "Illini Night" as well as Illinois athletics offers for Cougars fans, will be made public as information becomes available.
