Cutters Announce 2012 Promos

May 17, 2012 - New York-Penn League (NYPL) Williamsport Crosscutters

The Williamsport Crosscutters have unveiled their 2012 slate of promotions for the club's 38-game home schedule. The 2012 home-opener is scheduled for Monday, June 18 as the Crosscutters host the rival State College Spikes. Opening Night 2012, presented by River Valley Transit & KISS-FM, will feature a schedule magnet giveaway for the first 2,500 fans plus loads of opening night festivities.

Cutters Vice-President of Marketing and Public Relations, Gabe Sinicropi, Stated, "While baseball is a game, we take our responsibility of providing great memories, great food and great times very seriously while also being focused on offering our fans the best value for their dollar. Our goal is to put together a schedule of fun entertainment, contests and promotions to entertain everyone who comes out to Historic Bowman Field, even if they aren't a big baseball fan."

Again this season, the Cutters will have special "day of the week" promotions where fans can take advantage of great specials and promotions.

Mondays will again be designated "Military Monday" presented by Dunkin Donuts and Harvest Moon. All active and retired military personnel get a free admission ticket when they show their military ID at the box office.

Wednesdays feature "Back-to-Back Cracks" from Solley First Health Chiropractic. If the Cutters hit back-to-back homers in the game, some lucky fan will win $10,000.

Thursdays see the return of the ever-popular "Thirsty Thursday". From 6-8pm fans can enjoy pint beer specials and 2 for 1 selected soft drinks.

Fridays feature "Happy Hour" from 6-7pm. Fans can enjoy pint beer specials and 2 for 1 selected soft drinks along with free popcorn.

Sundays all fans age 18 and over can play "Baseball Bingo" to win great prizes and after every Sunday game all Cutters fans 12 and under can come on the field and run the bases in "Boomer's Mad Dash".

Launch-a-Ball has been expanded to every Monday-Friday home game, presented by Bonner Sports & RV. Fans purchase $1 tennis balls to throw on the field at targets after the game to win great prizes. One lucky target will qualify fans to win a new KZ Sportsmen Camper worth over $12,000. All qualifiers will have a chance to win the camper at the Cutters final home game on September 5.

Theme Nights in 2012 will include; Irish Heritage Night - June 20, Military Appreciation Night June 23, Bark in the Park - June 24, Social Media Night - July 11, Polish Heritage Night - July 12, Belly-Buster - July 14, Cutters Beach Party/Dominican Resort Trip Giveaway - July 24, Going Green Night - August 3, Blue-Out Game against Child Abuse - August 4, Salute to Bacon - August 17, Phillie-Mania - August 28, Football Night in Williamsport - September 4.

Five Pack the Park Nights dot the schedule; Williamsport Sun-Gazette Pack the Park Night - July 13, Knittle & Frey Pack the Park Night - July 20, Susquehanna Health Pack the Park Night - July 23, Marcellus Shale Pack the Park Night - August, Penn College Pack the Park Night - August 30.

The team is also planning two special charity auctions to benefit local charities.

- June 23 - Military Appreciation Night presented by Masons Lodge #106. The team will be outfitted in special limited edition military-styled jerseys that can be bid on during a silent auction during the game with proceeds donated to the Master Sgt. Sean Thomas Foundation and Masonic charities.

- August 4 - Blue-Out Saturday presented by Susquehanna Transit. Cutters players will wear special limited edition blue jerseys, which will be auctioned off to fans with proceeds benefitting Prevent Child Abuse Pennsylvania and affiliated local charities.

The Crosscutters will also be hosting the 2nd annual Cutters 5K Run to benefit the Children's Development Center. The inaugural run in 2011 resulted in a donation of $15,000 to the Children's Development Center. More information and entry forms can be downloaded at crosscutters.com.
