Wil Myers Promoted to Omaha

Papillion, Neb. - Outfielder Wil Myers has been promoted to Omaha from Double-A Northwest Arkansas effective today. Myers has been ranked as the third best prospect in the entire Kansas City farm system.Through 35 games at the Double-A level, Myers was having little problem putting the ball in play as he carries a .343 average with 13 homers, 30 runs batted in and four stolen bases. From 2009 through the end of 2011, the 21 year old Myers is a near .300 hitter in the minors and has hit a combined .296 with 27 homers and 150 RBI.
Myers was drafted in the third round of the 2009 June Free Agent Draft and this call-up marks his first time playing at the Triple-A level.
