----- Today, the SeaWolves finish a seven-game homestand as they take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in the rubber game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the Aeros jumped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and went on to beat the SeaWolves 8-1, snapping the 'Wolves season-best six-game winning streak. The loss dropped the SeaWolves to a game over .500 and 4.5 games behind the first place Aeros...Akron enters play on Wednesday 10 games above .500 and in first place in the West. Akron is 2.5 games ahead of second place Harrisburg...Today, lefty Jared Wesson takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his eighth start and his first against the Aeros. Wesson 1-1 with a no-decision in three May starts, but has only tossed five innings in one of those three starts. Wesson took a no-decision in his last start against Altoona on May 11. In the game, he allowed two runs on four hits with four walks and five strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work. Erie won the game 7-3...RHP Brett Brach takes the mound for Akron making his second start with the Aeros. Brach began the season with Class-A Carolina where he made six appearances, four starts, and posted an 0-1 record and 5.23 ERA. He took a loss in his Akron debut on May 12 against Harrisburg. In the game, he allowed five runs on 10 hits with a walk and a strikeout in 3.2 innings of work...The SeaWolves will have an off-day on Thursday and begin a weekend series in Altoona on Friday.
