Loons to Host Wine Tasting Event at Dow Diamond this Friday

MIDLAND, MI - The Loons will host an a unique wine tasting event this Friday, April 27, at Dow Diamond as a part of the events surrounding the Loons' 6:05 p.m. game against the visiting Clinton LumberKings.
Each participant at the event will receive six wine sample tickets, an array of appetizers and a ticket to Friday's game. Available wines for sampling during the event will be Terlato, Rispa, Franciscan, Nt. Verder, Renacer, Molly Dooker and more. The event will take place in the confines of Lasorda's Landing, a covered group area located on the newly-renovated Great Lakes Reserve Level.
Tickets to the event are extremely limited, so fans interested in attending the tasting are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance by calling 989-837-BALL or logging on to Loons.com.
In addition to the wine tasting, the Loons will host one additional food and drink themed event, the Loons Independence Day Luau, on Tuesday, July 3. The Luau, featuring food, drinks and a ticket to the game, will take place in Dow Diamond's Northern Lights Pavilion and will be followed by a Fireworks Loontacular powered by Dow Corning.
Fans interested in participating in any of the food and drink themed events must be 21 or older. The Great Lakes Loons are a sixth-year Single-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and are in the middle of their 5th Anniversary Celebration, which kicked off in August 2011 and will continue throughout the 2012 season.
