K-Wings To Meet Everblades In Conference Finals

April 21, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL) Kalamazoo Wings

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, two-time defending North Division Champions, reigning Eastern Conference Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey Devils and American Hockey League's Albany Devils, announce the times and dates of 2012 Kelly Cup Playoff Eastern Conference Finals match-up against the Florida Everblades.

The K-Wings and Everblades will square off in a best-of-seven series that will have a 2-3-2 format. The series will commence Friday, April 27th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off at Wings Stadium. Game two of the series will occur at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28th also at Wings Stadium

The next three games are slated for the Germain Arena in Estero, Florida starting on Wednesday, May 2nd at 7:30 p.m. Game four will be played on Thursday, May 3rd also at 7:30 p.m. Game five, if necessary, will occur on Saturday, May 5th at 7 p.m.

The final two games of the best-of-seven series, if necessary, will take place at the Wings Stadium on Tuesday, May 8th and Wednesday, May 9th. Face-offs for the game six and seven will be at 7 p.m.

During the regular season, the K-Wings went 2-2-0-1 versus the Everblades. This series will be the second playoff encounter between the teams. Last year, Kalamazoo defeated Florida in four games during Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Tickets for the K-Wings round one playoff games are $16.05 and $19.95 for adults, $15.05 for seniors (62 years and older) and military (with proper ID) and only $10.05 for kids ages 12 and under. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single game tickets in advance because tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $1.
