Wynn Pelzer Released, Greg Burke Joins Bowie

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce a roster move today. RHP Wynn Pelzer was released by the Baltimore Orioles and RHP Greg Burke was transferred to Bowie from Extended Spring Training. With the moves, the Baysox have 25 active players on the 25-man roster and four players on the Disabled List.
Pelzer pitched in three games for the Baysox this season, going 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA in three innings of work. He allowed three runs on four hits while walking two batters and striking out four. Pelzer was 5-7 with a 4.14 ERA in 29 appearances (10 starts) with the Baysox in 2011.
Burke was signed by the Orioles as a free agent in February and he has not pitched in a game yet this season. In 2011, Burke went 2-2 with a 5.70 ERA in 64 appearances with the Triple-A Tucson Drillers, a San Diego Padres affiliate.
