Naturals Washed Away on Sunday

April 15, 2012 - Texas League (TL) Northwest Arkansas Naturals

SPRINGDALE, AR - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals' Sunday afternoon game against the San Antonio Missions has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Garrett Lewis, the Naturals' official meteorologist, has indicated that several more bands of heavy showers are on their way towards Northwest Arkansas through the next couple of hours, showers which developed more recently behind the initial bands of weather from earlier this afternoon, including the severe threat which has now moved to our east.

In the interest of the safety of both fans and our players, the game has been rescheduled as part of a twi-night, same admission doubleheader to be held tomorrow, (Monday, April 16th).

The teams will play two seven-inning contests beginning at 5:05 P.M. Gates will open at 4:30 P.M, and there will be a 30 minute intermission between the two contests. Any ticket for Monday will be good for both games.

All tickets from Sunday afternoon are eligible, per the Naturals' rain check policy, to be exchanged for an equal-value ticket, based on availability, to any regular season Naturals game during the remainder of the 2012 season.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale. Visit our website, nwanaturals.com, for information on season tickets and ticket plans.
