Burnie Joins Car Wash Effort for Autism Awareness Month

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - Over the weekend Arizona Sundogs mascot Burnie extended a helping hand for a charity car wash in the Prescott Valley area.
Burnie joined other supporters at the "Team Jakey" Car Wash to raise funds for Jacob Constante (kuhn-STAHN-tay), an eight-year-old boy with Autism. April is Autism Awareness Month, and the funds collected were for the organization Autism Speaks.
"Team Jakey" was on hand at the Prescott Valley K-Mart washing cars and collecting donations on behalf of Jacob from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. "Team Jakey" is also planning on participating in an area Walk for Autism on April 21st.
More than $1,500 was raised during the one-day effort.
