Storm Set to Host Slaughter & Recognize Local Heroes

The Sioux Falls Storm is pleased to announce that this Sunday's game against the Chicago Slaughter is Local Heroes night. Any police officer, firefighter or emergency worker will be given free entrance to the game with their ID and the ability to purchase $5 family tickets.

Sunday's game will kickoff at 4:05 p.m. with pregame festivities starting at 3 p.m.

The Storm (4-0) is coming off a 69-29 victory over the Cedar Rapids Titans while the Slaughter (1-4) fell last weekend to the Bloomington Edge, 55-44.

Quarterback Chris Dixon will be under center for the game and currently leads the league with a 150.7 quarterback rating, keyed by his 20 passing touchdowns and zero interceptions. Dixon has also added nine rushing touchdowns for the season.

Running back Andre Crenshaw and Brandon Walker each added two touchdowns last week, bringing Crenshaw's season total to six for the season. On the receiving end of the ball, Carl Sims and Clinton Soloman each have eight touchdowns and Lorenzo Brown leads the team with 26 receptions.

Defensively for the Storm, Dejuan Fulghum and Sean Kelly lead the team with 32 tackles and 2.5 sacks, respectively. Curtis Thomas and Justin Welch each have two interceptions.

Quarterback Perry Patterson, who has 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions for the season, leads Chicago. Linebacker Lenny Radkte is currently second in the league with 55 total tackles while wide receiver Ernest Jackson is averaging 81.8 receiving yards per game.
