Bakersfield Condors News Release
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Condors take to the Mercy and Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena for three games this week on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday to conclude the season. Doors open at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. All three games begin at 7 p.m.
The Condors are 'Out for Blood' on Wednesday when the team hosts the Alaska Aces on Blood Drive Night presented by My 45 and KUZZ 107.9 FM. Anyone who donates blood at Houchin Blood Bank can receive a $1 voucher which can be redeemed at the game. Houchin is located at 5901 Truxtun Ave.
Also, it is the final game of the Condors' offer of up to four (4) complimentary tickets to Condorstown's unemployed. It is a difficult time in the job market today and the Condors hope to ease the burden with a fun night out at the rink for the families of those having trouble finding work.
To receive the tickets, fans must bring their notice of unemployment from the Employment Development Department of California to the box office. Box office hours are Monday through Friday from 10-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10-4 p.m. with extended hours on gamedays.
Friday night is Street Hockey Stick and Puck Set Giveaway Night presented by ABC 23, HOT 94.1 FM and Three Way Automotive Group. The first 2,000 children, 12 and under, will receive a Condors Street Hockey Stick and Puck set to practice their games during the summer months. It's perfect to play in the driveway, just please do not play in the house (except when your mom isn't paying attention)!
The Condors wrap up the season in grand style on Saturday with a fun-filled night at the rink. Come check out Cartoon Network's superhero Ben 10 as he takes pictures in Condors photo booth.
Also, current NASCAR driver and Bakersfield's own Ryan Reed will bring his race car to the game and will be available for autographs and pictures. He will have his car outside prior to the game.
