Bisons Fall to Zelphyrs, 6-5, on Thursday
March 22, 2012 - International League (IL) Buffalo Bisons
The Buffalo Bisons were defeated by the New Orleans Zephyrs by a 6-5 score on Thursday afternoon from Jupiter, FL. The Herd is now 0-2-2 after four spring exhibition games.The Herd has a camp day tomorrow and will face Memphis on Saturday afternoon from Port St. Lucie, FL (1pm).
The Bisons collected 10 hits for the game, with OF RAUL REYES going 2-2 with a pair of doubles and three RBI. OF COREY WIMBERLY went 1-2 with a double, two walks and two stolen bases while INF MICHEAL FISHER had two hits and an RBI in five at-bats.
RHP JEURYS FAMILIA started for the Bisons and allowed three earned runs over 5.1 innings of work. He walked four and struck out four.
