2-Time MVP Dale Murphy to Headline Owlz First Pitch Dinner

The Orem Owlz are pleased and excited to announce that all time great Dale Murphy will be the featured speaker at the 5th Annual Owlz First Pitch Dinner. The event will take place on Saturday May 12th at the brand new Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo.
"There are not many chances that we have in our lifetimes to sit down and have dinner with a two time MVP," says majority owner Jeff Katofsky, "especially one with the moral character of a Dale Murphy. My children and I cannot wait for this night."
Throughout 18 seasons in the Major Leagues Murphy was twice named National League Most Valuable Player. He was a seven time National League All-Star, four time Silver Slugger, and was awarded five Gold Glove awards. Dale was one of the most beloved athletes in Atlanta Braves history. His number 3 was retired becoming only the fifth Braves player to have his jersey number retired in franchise history.
"We are honored to have someone with Dale's baseball credentials speaking at our First Pitch Dinner," said Brett Crane Owlz General Manager. "His stats speak for themselves, and having someone with his ties to the local community is going to make for a very special event."
All tickets for this event include a three-course dinner, and can be purchased individually for $65 or a table of 10 can be purchased for $450. There will be special offers for Owlz season ticket holders. Murphy will be available for autographs and pictures for an hour before the dinner. A formal speaking program will be follow the meet and greet.
There will be a silent auction held during the event that will benefit the Owlz Booster Club. Silent auction items will include autographed memorabilia from former MLB players, current Angels players and former Owlz players.
