- Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian women. One in 9 women is expected to develop breast cancer during her lifetime. The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is the largest single-day, volunteer-led national event in Canada in support of breast cancer. All of the proceeds raised at the Run for the Cure in BC will remain in the province. This year the Run for the Cure will take place on September 30th, 2012.
