Abbotsford Heat News Release

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat beat the Houston Aeros for the second time in as many nights and the fourth straight time this season with a 4-1 victory on Saturday night at the AESC. The Heat took a 2-0 lead to the dressing room at the first intermission on the strength of a pair of goals that came 33 seconds apart. The game's opening marker was scored by Ryan Howse who potted his first career AHL goal followed by Brett Carson who buried his second of the campaign. After the Aeros got the only goal in the second frame to pull to within one, the Heat put the game out of reach with a pair of two-man advantage goals late in the third by Greg Nemisz and Captain Quintin Laing. Adam Estoclet and Clay Wilson both had two assists and netminder Henrik Karlsson stopped 21 of 22 shots for his second consecutive win.
