February 17, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL) Milwaukee Admirals

Milwaukee, WI-Coming off a home win against Houston Tuesday night, the Milwaukee Admirals (49 Games Played, 25-21-2-1-53 points, 4th place Midwest Division, 10th place Western Conference, 20th place AHL) will spend the weekend travelling south to Oklahoma City for a pair of games against the Western Conference leading Barons (49 GP, 32-12-2-3-69 points, 1st place West Division, 1st place Western Conference, 2nd place AHL) at the Cox Convention Center (12,947 capacity for hockey).

Friday and Saturday's games in Oklahoma's state capital represents the second and third meetings between the Admirals and Barons this season and the only trip Milwaukee will make to Oklahoma City during the 2011-2012 campaign. In their only prior meeting Milwaukee got the better of Oklahoma City, taking a 3-2 decision at the Bradley Center on Nov. 13. Admirals forward Kyle Wilson (Oakville, Ontario) scored the game winning goal at 13:47 of the first period, while goaltender Jeremy Smith (Dearborn, Michigan) made it stand by stopping 15 of 17 shots. Barons goaltender David LeNeveu made 26 saves in the loss. The win improved Milwaukee's all time record to 4-2-0-1 against the second-year Edmonton Oilers affiliate. However, Oklahoma City owns a 2-1-0-0 record against the Admirals at the Cox Convention Center.
