Stars Name Steve Sherrill VP of Corporate Sales

Cedar Park, TX - Texas Stars President and Cedar Park Center General Manager Rick McLaughlin announced on Friday the team has named Steve Sherrill the Vice President of Corporate Sales for the Texas Stars and the Cedar Park Center.

"Steve brings both experience and local market knowledge of sales to an important position for our organization," said Stars President Rick McLaughlin. "We are excited to have him join our executive staff."

Sherrill has 19-years of sales and marketing experience to the organization after working most recently with Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. There he was the General Sales Manager of 103.1 FM and AM 1300 The Zone, home of the University of Texas athletics. With a strong local presence, Sherrill also spent several years working with CBS Radio station (now Entercom) KAMX-FM, Mix 94.7 FM from 1999-2007.

Before moving to Austin, Steve attended Texas State University, graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism, with a minor in criminal justice. Sherrill resides in Cedar Park with his wife Dawn and their two children, son Wesley and daughter Reagan.

Texas returns home on Friday, February 17th for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff against the San Antonio Rampage, presented by Farmers Insurance. Friday's game is a 3-2-1 night featuring $3 domestic drafts, $2 sodas and $1 hot dogs. The Stars will take on the Rampage again on Saturday, February 18th at 7:00 p.m, presented by the Texas Lottery Commission. The first 2,500 fans to the game will receive a team poster, compliments of ABC Home and Commercial Services. Saturday is also a State Farm Family Four Pack night consisting of four tickets, four sodas and four hot dogs starting at $48. Individual tickets for all games are on sale now.
