Canadiens Reassign Ian Schultz to Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced tonight that forward Ian Schultz has been reassigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Schultz did not play in tonight's game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Recalled by the Canadiens on Sunday, February 12th, 2012, Schultz, 22, played in 36 games for the Bulldogs this season, recording 13 points (3 goals, 10 assists), 83 penalty minutes, and a +3 plus/minus rating. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Calgary, Alberta native suited up for 45 games with the Bulldogs in 2010-2011, registering 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist) and 49 penalty minutes in the regular season, and 2 goals in 15 post-season games. This was his first recall to Montreal.

The Bulldogs' next game will take place on Friday, February 17th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. when they host the St. John's IceCaps on Home Depot Night. The 'Dogs continue their 3-in-3 weekend on Saturday, February 18th, 2012 when they take on the Rockford IceHogs at 7 p.m. at Copps Coliseum before travelling to Rochester on Sunday, February 19th, 2012 to face the Americans at 5:05 p.m. at Blue Cross Arena.
