Rochester Americans News Release

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans Vice President of Business Operations Rob Kopacz announced that the Amerks are donating hockey equipment to the City of Rochester's Citywide Floor Hockey League.

"The Amerks are proud to donate equipment to the Rochester Citywide Floor Hockey League," said Kopacz. "It is great to see the City of Rochester's program succeeding and growing, as the game of hockey at any level is a great way to learn the values of teamwork and commitment."

The Citywide Floor Hockey League, part of the City of Rochester's Recreation program, is open to youth ages 12 to 15 and takes place at six different recreation centers throughout the city. The league held its year-end All-Star Game and banquet this past Wednesday, where Amerks Hall of Famer Jody Gage served as the guest speaker.

To help support the program, the Amerks have donated 48 floor hockey sticks, eights sets of floor hockey goalie equipment (mask, gloves, leg pads, chest protectors) and four goals/nets.
