TULSA, OK - Members of the Oklahoma City Police and Fire Departments will trade their uniforms for hockey sweaters to face off against members of the Green Country Police and Fire Departments to start the annual Guns N' Hoses charity series on Sunday, January 29th at the BOK Center in downtown Tulsa.

Civic pride will be on the line as police officers and firefighters from both cities hit the ice at 1:05 p.m. prior to the Tulsa Oilers 4:05 p.m. game against the Laredo Bucks. The series heads back down the Turner Turnpike for a rematch at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City on Saturday, March 24th. The second installment of the rivalry will begin at 4 p.m. before the Oklahoma City Barons (AHL) clash with the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 p.m.

Fans who purchase a ticket to the Guns N' Hoses game in Tulsa, can use the same ticket for admission to the Oilers game on the same day. After the game against Laredo, fans are encouraged to hit the ice for a post-game skate with the Oilers players. A ticket to the contest in Oklahoma City will also get fans into the Barons game that night. During his recovery and rehabilitation, Peery decided to start a foundation to help injured first responders with medical bills and renovations to their homes. Peery will dropping a ceremonial puck at the beginning of the Guns N' Hoses game in Tulsa. Since 2000, the Oklahoma Brain Tumor Foundation has been providing support and advocacy for children and adults with brain tumors.
