McDowell Traded to Erie

January 10, 2012 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Oshawa Generals

Oshawa, Ontario - Chris DePiero, General Manager of the Oshawa Generals, announced this morning the trade of defenseman Jimmy McDowell to the Erie Otters. In exchange, the Generals have received a 4th round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection and an 8th round pick in 2015.

Jimmy was in his third season with the Generals and after 27 points in 144 games, the Dimondale, Michigan native is returning south of the border.

Jimmy has dedicated himself to this club for 3 years and the time and energy that requires is tremendous. We are truly thankful for that commitment and we're confident that it will serve him well with his next team. We wish him all the very best with the Otters and his new city.
