T-Bones Release 2012 Schedule

November 30, 2011 - American Association (AA) Kansas City T-Bones

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Kansas City T-Bones have announced their 100-game schedule for the 2012 campaign, their 10th season since moving to the Village West area of Kansas City, Kan.

The T-Bones open the season at home on Thursday, May 17 with an interleague game against the New Jersey Jackals, members of the Can-Am League in the Northeast. Following that four-game series, Kansas City welcomes the Gary SouthShore RailCats for three games from May 21-23 to close out a seven-game opening homestand.

"We're pretty excited to be playing four series against Can-Am opponents," T-Bones President Adam Ehlert said. "18-team interleague play is just one of the unique elements our fans will enjoy in our 10th anniversary season."

Kansas City continues their exciting, local rivalries with the Wichita Wingnuts and Lincoln Saltdogs in 2012, playing each team 10 and seven times respectively. The first match-up comes in a three-game series from June 8-10 when the T-Bones welcome Wichita to CommunityAmerica Ballpark for a three-game set. The Wingnuts return to Kansas City for a short two-game series on July 13-14. Kansas City makes their first trip to Wichita from June 15-17 and again for two games on July 11-12.

Lincoln welcomes the T-Bones for four games from June 29 - July 2 before making their only trip to Kansas City on Aug. 14-16.

The T-Bones play the expansion Laredo (Tex.) Lemurs just once in 2012 when they welcome the team to CommunityAmerica Ballpark for a three-game series on Aug. 17-19.

Kansas City's 50-game home schedule will feature four (4) Monday games; eight (8) games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday; six (6) games on Thursday; nine (9) games on Friday and seven (7) games on Sunday. Monday-Saturday games are still 7:05 p.m. starts at CommunityAmerica Ballpark and Sundays remain 5:05 p.m. contests, with the following exceptions:

June 13, 20; July 5 - Day games set for 11:05 a.m.

Aug. 26 - Final regular-season home game set for 1:05 p.m.

Kids Eat FREE! Mondays presented by CommunityAmerica Credit Union return to Kansas City in 2012. Also, in honor of the T-Bones' 10th anniversary season, the team is preparing a number of special giveaways and celebrations to mark the occasion. These promotions, as well as the dates for the third annual replica jersey and second annual fleece blanket giveaways, will be announced at a later date.

Dates and times are subject to change and are weather permitting. Season tickets are on sale now and ticket packages will be announced soon. Single-game tickets will go on sale in March 2012.
